What is your creative mission?
To live fully curious without limitations, and to fall in love everyday with something small, something new.
What do you love about what you do?
I love that I can find my own silence if only I let myself. I love that I understand the importance of solitude because it is rare. & that I know the complications of every human’s path, because everyone’s life is just as important and real as my own. What do I do then? lol Try and navigate each day.
What have you learned from your successes/ failures?
I’ve learned that there will always be successes and failures. World crushing or fart-worthy. Take that how you want it. (farts are f*ing funny)
How do you keep pushing ahead after a difficult challenge?
I don’t know. I wake up, after a certain place is exhausted. I wake up. & I’ll fall again, but I know I won’t stay in one place.
Have you ever encountered resistance from family, friends, or the world in general? How did you overcome those kinds of blocks?
Of course. probably everyday. I know my own truth, though. I know I’m wrong often, & I know I’m flawed, and thats how I keep staying awake. I judge my judgement’s judgements. I reflect a lot and I can forgive others. But most importantly I know that life is a mess unless you can talk yourself out of other people’s opinions. I know that my feelings/reactions/or lack there of, are mine, and that theres a time for all of them.
How has your art and creativity healed you?
Creating is always new. It’s always an obstacle. It’s always rewarding. Whether you learn how shitty you are at kissing the right butts or how awesome you feel because you walked away. Or when you look back as realize you aren’t just a artist in the physical sense, there’s something deep inside that will continue to break and burn and break and burn with intensity….. that’s waiting to make connection.
