Do you know the recording artist Maggie Rogers? She’s amazing. And she has a kind of mind blowing origin story.
She was at NYU as a music student a few years ago when Pharrell Williams, one of the top music producers in the world, came in to listen to the students’ songs and offer feedback. He was kind and helpful with his feedback until Maggie played her song.
The guy’s jaw dropped. He was fully blown away. And he told her straight up.
This is cool.
Since then, Maggie has released an amazing album, had a successful tour and won awards.
But this story makes me wonder.
Obviously being christened by an authority like that had an impact on her and almost certainly gave her the courage and oomph to step forward with music.
So here’s my question. What if we could authentically do that with ourselves? What if we could take the role of the Master— in music, writing, painting, whatever— and bestow the same kind of energy and grace on ourselves, as Mags got from Pharrell?
Can we supercharge ourselves with a bolt of energy and confidence for the version of ourselves that knows the truth? That has the wisdom and skills? That almost possesses a magical power to create the future?
Email me. Let’s share. We’re in this together, ya know;)
