You guys ever read the Tao the Ching? It’s an ancient Chinese philosophy that talks about the balance of energies in the universe. Night/ day, masculine/ feminine, active/ passive.

The deal is that if you can surf the edge and find the balance, you become a Master. And from there, you flow with the energy of life.

In my posts and coaching and book and everything, I talk a lot about NFA— Not F’ing Around. It’s a powerful, directed approach to the world. This is how things get done. I highly recommend it.

I also highly recommend the opposite. By allowing things to happen in our lives, they connect through ways that one might consider magical.

Have you ever doubled down on a job search? Spent every waking hour searching for gigs, applying for jobs, and researching stuff until your head is about to explode. That’s the NFA.

So isn’t it strange when out of the blue, a friend you haven’t talked to in a decade, calls you on that Saturday and offers you a job?

That’s the magic happening. It is the allowing, the receptivity. In this hyper crazy world where we tend to think that we have to muscle through everything to get anywhere, stepping back and receiving the energy that you put out is a lost art.

But here’s the deal. The energy can’t come back until you blast it out. When nothing is blasted out, there’s not much to reflect.

This has happened in my life a million times. And I suspect if you search your memory banks, you’ll know it’s true for you too.

So be bold and blast out the NFA in any direction you choose. Then breathe easy and inhale the goodness that’s coming to you. If you forget that part, you might just miss an opportunity that has your name on it.

When was a time were you stepped back and allowed goodness, jobs, opportunities or relationships to come to you? How was that different from constantly striving toward the goals?

Email me. Let’s share. We’re in this together, ya know;)
