What is your creative mission?

To make music that I enjoy and that other people will enjoy too.

What do you love about what you do?

I love the freedom to express myself and the endless possibilities of writing and recording music. Every song is a new creation that can be totally different. There are no boundaries in music and there is something about pouring your soul out into a song and sharing it with other people in this world that is truly magical.

What have you learned from your successes/ failures?

You are going to have ups and downs. But I look at it this way, if you don’t fail, then you aren’t trying enough or taking enough risks. I always try to learn from my failures but never dwell on them.

How do you keep pushing ahead after a difficult challenge?

Believe in yourself and have confidence. Honestly, sometimes you just have to laugh it off, but keep pushing forward. The biggest mistake you can ever make after a difficult challenge is to give up on your dreams.

Have you ever encountered resistance from family, friends, or the world in general? How did you overcome those kinds of blocks?

Yes. Some people just don’t want to see you succeed or want you to be happy. I use it as fuel to work even harder to reach my goals. I have been very lucky though to have amazing support from family and friends.

How has your art and creativity healed you?

We all go through tough times in life. Broken hearts, lost loved ones, being broke, etc. and we feel all sorts of emotions such as happiness, sadness, excitement, regret, and a million other different ways you can feel. Music is a way for me to let those feelings out and to tell those stories in my life. No matter what, music has always been there for me and there is something about a song that really can heal the soul.

What are your NFA Bullet points? What steps would you recommend for anyone who wants to kick some ass and get their creative dreams off the ground?

Just start doing it! Surround yourself with other people who have creative goals and build a team. Push each other to be the best you can possibly be. Don’t be afraid to fail! Have fun with it! If people see you really love what you are doing they will probably enjoy it too!
